Individual Therapy

Psychotherapy provides a safe space for you to review your life and explore issues you wish to work on. It is a place to be honest with yourself in order to promote living more realistically and to have a more satisfying life.

Individual psychotherapy typically consists of face-to-face meetings between the therapist and individual. The first few sessions will be an assessment period where the focus will be on looking at the presenting issues and situation in the context of the individual's relationships with others. Treatment will include exploration of alternative ways to deal with the problems identified and/or to provide a renewed focus for pursuing your life goals. Meetings are at least once per week, as less frequent meetings tend to be less effective.  What you put into therapy is strongly correlated with what you get out of it.

My approach is in-depth work focusing on the exploration of behavior, thoughts and feelings through talk therapy, and some work may involve dream analysis, art therapy and sandtray.
