Individual Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy provides a safe space for you to review your life and explore how you relate to others in your personal and professional life.  Therapy is a place to be honest with yourself in order to promote living more realistically and to have a more satisfying life.

Therapy typically consists of face to face meetings between the therapist and individual.  The first few sessions will be an assessment period where the focus will be on looking at the presenting issue and situation in the context of the individual’s relationships with others.  Treatment will include exploration of alternative ways to deal with the problems identified and/or to provide a renewed focus for pursuing your life goals.  Meetings are at least once per week, as less frequent meetings tend to be less effective.

Kirsten’s approach is in-depth work focusing on the exploration of behavior, thoughts and feelings through talk therapy, and some work may involve dream analysis, art therapy and sandtray.
